Wesley Hindmarch Director, in memoriam, passed away 3 April 2026

Founding Director & Architect

Our Founding Director, Wesley Hindmarch (1973–2026), brought over 25 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. Wesley passed away on 3 April 2026, leaving a lasting legacy through his work, mentorship, and contribution to the profession.

Wesley began his career as a tradesman before studying architecture at the University of Tasmania and the Bauhaus University in Germany, graduating in 2000. He travelled extensively and, between 2003 and 2005, worked with Álvaro Siza Architect in Portugal, gaining invaluable international experience.

Upon returning to Australia, Wesley established his own practice in Tasmania, founding Dock4 Architects—an award-winning practice based in Melbourne and Tasmania. In 2016, he stepped down as director and relocated with his family to the South Coast of New South Wales.

Wesley’s portfolio spanned a diverse range of projects, including residential homes and extensions, multi-storey apartments, sporting pavilions, educational facilities, hospitality venues, commercial fit-outs, and retail spaces. His clients included local and state government bodies, private residential clients, developers, retail brands, and healthcare providers.

LocalArchitect continues to build on the foundations Wesley established, carrying forward his commitment to thoughtful, place-based design across the South Coast of New South Wales.

Renee McGuinn

Managing Director & Architect

Director Renee McGuinn has over 13 years of experience working across local government areas along the South Coast and Southern Highlands of New South Wales. She is a fully registered and highly experienced Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & planning industry.

Skilled in bespoke residential homes, sustainable design and contract management, Renee's approach to residential design is holistic with a focus on creating people-centred spaces both inside and out.

Renee herself is an active member of the Australian Institute of Architects whilst also sitting on the NSW Regional Committee and managing her duty as a founding member of the Regional Architects Association.

LocalArchitect are registered and regulated by the NSW ARCHITECTS REGISTRATION BOARD and a member of the AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS serving the South Coast of Sydney. LocalArchitect complies with the NSW Architects Code of Professional Conduct and its Guidelines.

Nando Lattanzio

Associate & Architectural Technician

Nando has over 20 years of experience working with local architects and builders delivering award winning residential and commercial projects. He is an experienced technical documenter utilising ArchiCAD to deliver buildable projects. Proficient in 3D visualisation utilising various software’s to bring potential projects to life.


Ryan Dingle

Graduate Architect

Ryan is an emerging architect with experience leading bespoke residential projects, supported by a strong background in construction and landscaping. He received the NSW Chapter’s Brian Patrick Keirnan Prize for his graduate project and brings a hands-on, context-driven approach to delivering thoughtful, sustainable design outcomes.

Aperture series - Regional Architecture in Focus - Artie Smith Oval by LocalArchitect South Coast

The Aperture is a series of films sponsored by the Regional Architecture Association (RAA) that promote architecture designed by regional architects. The RAA is a member-based, not-for-profit organization that supports regional architectural practitioners and advocates for the value of architecture in local communities. The film by Catherine Hunter explores Artie Smith Oval and the value of local consultants being involved in public architecture.
